Sunidhi dislikes Calling her songs as 'item numbers'

Singer Sunidhi Chauhan, who has crooned a lot of hit item numbers like "Sheila Ki Jawaani", "Dekh Le", "Mehboob Mere", "Beedi" and many more, refuses to call these "item songs".
"Whatever you call them, every song has it's own charm. I don't like calling them item songs but they are special songs. They are treated specially, they have extra attention and they are picturised in a special way. So, I like being associated to any special song," the 28-year-old said here Monday while recording for a song for the film "Yeh Saali Khushi."
The music of "Yeh Saali Khushi" has been composed by brothers Siddharth and Sangeet Haldipur, who had also composed two songs "Aa Zara" and "Tujhko bhulana" for "Murder 2".
Sunidhi, who was nominated for the Apsara award for best female playback singer for the song "Aa Zara", is all praise for Siddharth and Sangeet.
"Everyone has heard 'Aa Zara' and when I go for stage shows and the audience demand for the song and listen to it patiently and also sing with me, then I get to know how much people have appreciated the song," said Sunidhi.
"It's unfortunate that many people don't know that it's Sangeet and Siddharth who have composed the song. Such talent should come out and people should recognise them," she added.
While Sangeet Haldipur was a member of the band "Aasma", Siddharth was a part of the famous boy band "Band of Boys".
